Los Angeles Fire Department Recognizes LAX and Ontario Officers at 2011 Public Access Defibrillator Program Awards Ceremony
On October 27th, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) held their 2011 Public Access Defibrillator (PAD) Program Awards Ceremony recognizing rescuers and PAD Program supporters. The goal of the PAD Program is to increase the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest throughout the City of Los Angeles.
The ceremony was held in honor of several officers who aided cardiac arrest victims at Los Angeles International Airport and LA/Ontario International Airport. The ceremony was held at the LAFD, Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center, 1700 Stadium Way, Los Angeles CA 90012.
A total of 23 Los Angeles World Airports Police and Safety Officers were honored during the ceremony. Honorees in attendance included Los Angeles Airport Police Officers Gilberto Zambrano, Hans Bergmann, Rito Torres, Jr., Daniel Yu and LA/Ontario Airport Safety Officers Randy Horstmeyer, Guillermo Gonzalez, Michael Rasmussen, Mike DeSouza, Robert LeCours, James Mateer, and Captain’s, Wendell Callaway and Dan Meier.
