The Badge Office is the designated security credentialing authority for LAX
and Van Nuys airports. This office effectively manages access control in restricted
areas by operating a public service counter for all employees working at LAX and
Van Nuys airports that require a security badge or terminal identification card.
In order for the Security Credentials Section to meet federal mandates and regulatory
directives for safety and security, the section is comprised of seven functional units:
- Administration and Special Projects
- Badging
- Fingerprint Administration
- Enrollment and Contract Management
- Security Access and Analysis
- Adjudication and Confidential Records
- Regulatory Audit and Coordination
