Westchester Pkwy. & Airport Blvd. Rolling Lane Closures

Activity:
Temporary lane closures and intersection work are needed to install a new 24-inch reclaimed water line along Westchester Pkwy. and Airport Blvd. The existing 24-inch reclaimed water line on Jenny Ave. at 96th St. will be abandoned to make way for the Intermodal Transportation Facility – West, which is part of the LAX Landside Access Modernization Program.

The project will begin on Airport Blvd. and move to the north. During the construction, Airport Blvd. will be temporarily reduced to one southbound and northbound lane between Westchester Pkwy. and 96th St. After Airport Blvd. is complete, work will continue down Westchester Pkwy. which will be temporarily reduced to one eastbound and westbound traffic lane between Airport Blvd. and Jenny Ave.

During the nightly work period, flaggers will be stationed to ensure the flow of automobile and pedestrian traffic around the construction area. The street will remain open to pedestrian traffic. Access to local businesses and hotels will be maintained throughout all construction activities.
