LANE CLOSURES ON CENTURY BOULEVARD AT LAX TO CONSTRUCT AUTOMATED PEOPLE MOVER GUIDEWAY OVER ROADWAY
Work to connect the Automated People Mover train guideway over Century Boulevard will
begin Aug. 16.
Activity:
Beginning Monday, Aug. 16, lane closures will be in place on Century Boulevard between Avion
Drive and Sepulveda Boulevard to construct the Automated People Mover train guideway over the roadway. Lane closures
may take place during both daytime
and nighttime hours on eastbound and westbound Century Boulevard. Three lane closures of the roadway will only take
place during overnight hours or on Saturdays.
This span of guideway will be built utilizing segmental construction techniques, working from both the north and
southbound sides of Century Boulevard to connect in the middle over the median.
During the closures, travelers should plan to allow extra time to access LAX and use caution when traveling through
the area.
Dates/Times for Lane Closures:
Monday, Aug. 16 to Friday, Dec. 31
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; midnight to 6 a.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
